History of the company MGM Co., Holesov

The company MGM Holesov was established on May 1, 1992, by privatizing the state-owned enterprise Opravy zemмdмlskэch strojщ Holesov.

The previous enterprise was founded as The Regional Repair Works of Agricultural Machines and Tractors in 1953. The new enterprise, Agricultural Repair Works, and its branch in Holesov started up after reorganization in 1959. The company carried out repairs of agricultural tractors. There was another change in 1960, when the enterprise became a part of VHJ Repair Works of Agricultural Machines. It focused on general repairs of crawler tractors. In 1970, the company began specialising in repairs of tractors, harvesters, cutting machines, but also trucks. The companyґs activities were extended with repairs of forklifts in 1973.

Since 1995, the MGM company has been manufacturing sprayers for agriculture. This activity gradually became dominant and at present the manufacture of sprayers forms the basis of the companyґs production programme.

At present, the MGM Co. Holesov is divided into two sections:

- section 1 – engines and forklifts repairs
- section 2 – sprayers manufacture
